Welcome!

Okay, let's get the ball rolling with our first "healthy" recipe.

Yummy Yam Frosting
(great on cakes, cookies, muffins, pancakes, whatever!)

1 cup mashed baked yams (canned or fresh)
2 ounces (1/4c) softened cream cheese
2 teaspoons melted unsalted butter
1-2 Tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon orange juice
Powdered sugar to taste

Place yams, cream cheese, butter, syrup, and juice in a bowl and cream together. Puree this mixture in a blender, food processor or with a hand mixer to a smooth, spreadable consistency. Add powdered sugar to your desired sweetness and fluffiness, although it is delicious without any added sugar.
